Aud’s background is from the Norwegian Armed Forces, and she took a basic university course (in Norwegian: grunnfag) in Russian and an intermediate university course (in Norwegian: mellomfag) in psychology before she began to study law.

Aud first came in contact with Wiersholm while she was still a student, as a trainee. Later she wrote her master’s thesis here. Today, Aud is employed as a lawyer, and she mainly works with employment law and litigation.

- In Wiersholm you find very good lawyers over a broad spectrum of special areas. A strong professional environment is a key factor in one’s own professional development. As a young lawyer in Wiersholm, I have also to a great extent been allowed to take responsibility for my own cases and work independently.

Aud has two small children, and she does admit that it is demanding to combine family life with her job as a lawyer. Nevertheless, she does not regret her choice to start working in a law firm.

- My perception of Wiersholm is that the firm is willing to make arrangements to make it work, and my experience is that I do not get less responsibility and challenges because I work less than some of my colleagues. However, it is important to have realistic goals and to be open and honest about one’s own expectations and working capacity.
