Publications in The International In-house Counsel Journal, Nordic Edition, 2011

Lawyers in Wiersholm have published two articles in The International In-house Counsel Journal, the world’s leading independent journal written exclusively by commercial lawyers. The 2011 edition was launched in Copenhagen on 12 October 2011.

The article “Cloud Computing” is written by Ragnar Lindefjeld of Wiersholms ICT department. The myriad varieties of IT-outsourcing comprising what is generally referred to as “cloud computing” and the legal challenges associated therewith is the main theme of the article. From the lawyer’s perspective, it deals with what cloud computing actually does for customers, how it differs from traditional IT outsourcing models, and highlights some of the main regulatory challenges posed by this very rapidly growing business model.

The article “Simplification and Modernisation of the Norwegian Private Limited Companies Act and Extended Rules on Tax-Free Restructuring” is written by Jill Haugstvedt, Ingjerd Røynås and Bård Christian Braathen. The article gives an overview of proposals and amendments to Norwegian company and tax legislation on the basis of the increased focus on simplification and adjustment of Norwegian legislation as a way of increasing the industry's competitiveness.

The International In-house Counsel Journal is a peer reviewed journal published in over 100 countries, delivering papers written by general In-house Counsel covering the major areas of commercial law.
