Wiersholm Open – a big success for the seventh time
Great weather and great attendance!
This year, Wiersholm Open had more participants than any of the previous years: There were 183 starters compared to 124 last year, representing the spectre of bicycle enthusiasts – from the 'professional' individualists to the 'normal' exercisers.
As usual, the participants could choose between a short track of 6 kilometres and a long track of 23 kilometres. The long track was by far the most popular, and after the struggle from Bogstad and up to Tryvann ski centre, the event was topped with food and drinks, rewards and pep-talk from Kurt Asle Arvesen, the sport director of Team Sky.
The atmosphere was excellent during the entire event, and the feedback from the participants, both during and after, has been entirely positive. Many are already looking forward to next year.. !
