Data Protection and Privacy
Wiersholm's lawyers have worked with questions related to privacy protection for many years, and our interdisciplinary team advises clients with respect to the collection, registration and transfer of personal data. We assist our clients with the preparation of internal guidelines and compliance programmes to ensure that the processing of data is carried out in compliance with the law.
Moreover, we provide assistance with the submission of reports and licence applications to the Norwegian Data Protectorate, in addition to further dialogue and the resolution of disputes in relation to the Data Protectorate, Privacy Protection Board and the court system in general.
We also provide assistance with the transfer and processing of personal data across national boundaries. In addition, we have extensive expertise in the questions that arise with regard to the invasion of privacy, through, for example, the publication of personal information in the media.
