This field concerns the rules of law that are to ensure free competition and fair play for trade across national borders and internally between competitors. Many questions concern compliance with the competition rules. Infringement may lead to serious financial and criminal sanctions. Many of our assignments are related to cases that are under review by the Norwegian authorities (Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime, Norwegian Competition Authority, and Complaints Commission for Public Procurement) and by the European competition authorities (EU Commission and EFTA’s Surveillance Authority – the ESA).
