Business Transfers

The Worker Protection and Working Environment Act contains specific rules concerning business transfers and incorporates several EU Directives in this area, which protect employees in connection with the transfer of all or part of the enterprise to a new owner. The purpose of these rules is to ensure the continuance of the employment contracts, independent of the transfer, and to ensure that the employees maintain their terms and conditions after the transfer.
