Pensions
The Mandatory Occupational Pensions Act entered into force on 1 January 2006, and most companies in Norway have had to introduce an occupational pension scheme for their employees in 2006. All employers and employees in Norway are thus directly affected by the new pension legislation.
Pensions are an important benefit to the employee and have considerable economic consequences for both the employee and the employer. The importance of legal questions related to pensions has thus increased in recent years. Wiersholm’s employment law team provides assistance and advice in connection with individual and collective pension schemes, especially with the preparation of incentive schemes, termination of employment contracts and business transfers, often in consultation with an actuary.
