Wiersholm works regularly with financing and transactions associated with the shipping, offshore, aviation and real estate industries.
Besides ordinary loan financing, in which the company acts on both the lender and borrower sides, we are also involved in regular purchase and sales transactions and in various sale and leaseback transactions in the shipping and real estate industry. In the case of purchase/sale and sale-and-leaseback transactions, we handle the entire documentation package, including purchase contracts, charter parties, lease agreements, etc.
Transactions in the shipping and offshore industries include both ship and rig newbuildings and second-hand tonnage. The firm provides assistance throughout the entire process, from advising on the transaction structure, negotiations and drafting of purchase contracts, execution and closing of transactions, to the preparation of legal opinions. Wiersholm has expertise and experience in working directly with a number of international jurisdictions and registers/flag authorities, in addition to a well-developed network of cooperating international law firms that we can instruct as required.
Wiersholm also has considerable experience in international transactions related to the purchase/sale of aircraft and various forms of aircraft financing.
