Industry and Trade

Wiersholm offers assistance in connection with agent/distribution issues, franchising and business relationships with other intermediaries. Our assistance includes advisory services in connection with the establishment and termination of relationships with intermediaries, including the drafting of contracts. We also assist in the resolution of disputes between principals and intermediaries, both during the course of the contracts and upon the termination of relationships with intermediaries.

Wiersholm has several lawyers with versatile and broad experience in general contract law. We provide advisory services, practical execution of contract negotiations and the preparation of all types of commercial agreements, including manufacturing agreements and other purchase agreements, development agreements, consulting agreements, etc.

Several of our lawyers have experience as corporate lawyers in industry, and we also have agreements with major industrial concerns relating to ongoing assistance, in which we place a great deal of emphasis on getting to know each company well, so that we can provide good, practical advice.

Our lawyers provide assistance in connection with the licensing of all types of rights, be it design, trade marks, patents, copyrights or know-how. We strive to establish practical and simple contracts that define the licence terms and conditions well and in an unambiguous manner. At the same time, we guide our clients through the competition regulations in this area, which can be quite complex at times, such as group exemptions with respect to technology transfer contracts.

For many years, Wiersholm has been an active advisor in processes from the conception of a good idea to the commercialisation of a finished product. In this connection, the choice of a relevant organisation (limited company, partnership, limited partnership, etc.), financing (public schemes and private funds), revenue models and business plans (sales/licensing etc.), as well as protection models (patents etc.) have been the most key considerations.

Our lawyers have also assisted with advice and input in connection with the various models for safeguarding the relationship between the inventor and the commercialisation unit (often in universities and colleges), as well as the organisation and business plans for the aforementioned commercial units.
