Jan Fougner is an expert in conflict and crisis handling. He is also a specialist in litigation and employment law. He has experience from several high-profile cases involving legal, political and reputation risks, having assisted boards and managements in private and public enterprises. In addition he has expertise in petroleum law, administration law, labour legislation, contract law and law of damages. He is the author of several of textbooks, gives lectures on a regular basis and has vast experience from public and private boards, councils and committees.
Jan Fougner has a Ph.D from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, with the thesis "Restructuring of employment. Management right and obligation to work", and is the author of several other books and articles with main emphasis on employment law. He is ranked as a star performer in employment law and dispute resolution in Chambers Global and Chambers Europe and ranked as no.1 in the category employment in the Norwegian Financial Daily’s lawyers survey 2011, 2012 and 2013. He is also ranked in Legal 500. He has been the head of several major investigations. |
